Great food. Full menu, all day. Friendly staff. I will come back. I ordered the Gyro sandwich for breakfast. Good sized sandwich.

Absolutely loved Seven Slot Grill. So very Worth driving an extra mile past mcdonalds. We had meatloaf sandwich on rye bread with homemade BBQ ( asked for separately), bacon cheeseburger, a Reuben and a chicken finger basket, plus drinks and ice cream all for under $40. Much was homemade. The staff was friendly and welcoming. PERFECT road trip lunch.

Stopped for lunch at seven slot Grill in Reed city Michigan. The server told us we could have breakfast or lunch or anything we wanted from the menu so we opted for breakfast. We had eggs sourdough toast and pineapple upside down pancakes. The food was delicious and the service was absolutely extraordinary and the best part was the coffee. I swear they must have the best coffee in the area. If you order the pineapple upside down pancakes please take note that they will come to you filled with bright red cherries and you will not see the pineapple. If you don't like maraschino cherries tell them to leave them off. On the way out I bought a cool coffee mug with the name of this restaurant on it as a souvenir. Highly recommend this restaurant, the food is delicious and homemade. Will absolutely return the next time we drive up to Michigan to visit family.

Had to wait about 5 mins. but well worth it. Fast service and friendly. Kids had breakfast and they gave it 5 stars. Husband had a steak hoagie so big had to eat it with a fork. I had a gyro basket. The sauce was so yummy and lettuce and tomatoes tasted very fresh. 5 stars from the whole family. It was down pouring rain when we were leaving and the waitress offered us an umbrella ..... Great service !

If you are passing through Reed City, STOP, by all means, and enjoy some good old fashioned home cooking. We stopped in around noon with our family of five. Some of us ordered lunch, some breakfast. Absolutely everything was delicious and made with the best, freshest ingredients. The staff and atmosphere were friendly and welcoming. The bathroom was clean. We will make sure to stop there again. Dishes we tried and recommend: blueberry pancakes, hash browns, omelets, Greek salad and Pattie melt. Ice cream for dessert was yummy!

Polite service. Good quality ingredients. Far better coffee than other local breakfast joints

It's a jeep themed restaurant that serves excellent breakfast. They make everything from scratch. Their cinnamon raisin bread is excellent and they sell it buy the loaf. It's a family owned place and the owner's daughter is usually waitressing there. Everyone is always friendly.

We stopped here for lunch on the return trip to Chicago from Traverse City. The sandwiches were great, fresh baked rye bread, quality roast turkey and a decent salad selection. Service was super friendly and prompt and v. accommodating of our newborn twins. A welcome alternative to the ubiquitous fast food places at most highway exchanges. Seven Slot is a short drive from the highway but well worth the detour.

A classic Michigan dining experience. I knew we were in for a treat when I opened the menu and saw: Pineapple Upside down pancakes. We each ordered a dish, sausage biscuits and gravy and a country omelet, we got a short stack of the pineapple upside down pancakes on the side. It was devastatingly good. Way more food than two people should ever eat (we couldn't finish, as much as we wanted to). The toast (white, wheat, rye, and sourdough) are all made from bread made at the restaurant. Though we're not apt to dine out when spending time in that area, we made a point of coming back a second time during our vacation. It felt like our waitresses were our aunts, sweet as can be and they were very accommodating with very frequent coffee refills. You won't be able to keep us away from here the next time we're in town.

I was looking for a halfway point to meet a friend for lunch & Reed City seemed to fit the bill. Now I had never been to Reed City but I had heard of it so I figured it must be a decent size. I looked online trying to find a place to eat and came across the Seven Slot. The menu seemed to have a wide variety so I figured it would do the trick. I admit when I walked in the place wasn't what I was expecting. It is very small, hometown diner type of feel. I figured they must have a good burger so I chose the bacon cheddar burger. I ended up picking off most of the back because I am picky about bacon & I don't like the fatty stuff. It was like $1.50 extra for fries & they really weren't worth it. I have definitely had better. My bun was a little crunchy in spots which I didn't like & the burger was a bit dry. My friend got the special - ham & scalloped potatoes and she seemed to like that just fine. We also had the friend cauliflower - now that was yummy. Best thing we had in my opinion.

We come here often. It is what is best about Mom and Pop places in out of the way locations. Lots of things made in house, my eggs are always cooked perfectly to order, and people are always friendly, even though we are new to the area. Huge portions for the price. When we just want a nice breakfast with the kids, this is our go to, and we are never disappointed. I think if I had one suggestion it would be to pare back the menu to just its core items and the things they can make in house. But this is their model, it works for them. And whomever is behind the grill knows their business. We love it. If you aren't diabetic, try the pineapple upside down pancakes. Not haute cuisine, but my kids think they are crack. I have even known to steal a bite or two. :)

Seven Slot is named after the seven slots in a Jeep grill. The whole place is decked out with classic Jeep posters and calendars but otherwise nothing fancy. However, that's not the real reason to stop here. The real reason to stop is for the food, especially the breakfast food. They serve lunch all day long and their omelets are definitely worth trying. They also have an endless bowl of soup deal which is worth it because you can switch between the several different soups they have. Sandwiches and burgers are good too. Verdict: Eat here.
